Structural Formula
Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) is a broad-spectrum scale inhibitor that is particularly
effective in inhibiting the deposition of calcium sulfate and barium
sulfate. It is a powerful chelating agent with high calcium tolerance
and is an excellent chelator with good chaical and thermal
stability.Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) has a high chelating capacity for metal ions and has
the largest complexation constant with copper of any chelating agent,
including EDTA.EDTMPA can be used as a chelating agent in place of EDTA
in virtually any situation.
Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) is a high purity reagent and
non-toxic. It can be used as a cleaning agent for saiconductor chips to
prepare integrated circuits, as a carrier for radioactive elaents in the
medical industry, and as a reagent for testing and therapy.Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) is
used as an anti-scaling agent in detergents and as a stabiliser for
bleaching ingredients. It is also used in oil field formulations and as a
peroxide bleaching stabiliser in textile auxiliaries.Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) has a high
dispersing capacity for ceramic slurries and retards the setting of
construction materials.
Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (EDTMPA) is a white crystalline powder at
room taperature with a melting point of 215-217°C. It is difficult to
dissolve in water, with a solubility of less than 5% at room taperature,
and is readily soluble in ammonia.
