DTPMP.Na2 is partly neutralized DTPMPA. DTPMP.Na2 works well as a scale inhibitor and dispersing agent for use in industrial water treatment programs.When used at high alkali and temperatures (above 210°C) DTPMP.Na2 is more effective than other phosphonates. DTPMP.Na2 is a very good inhibitor of the precipitation of barium sulfate.
